Your success or failure in life is largely determined by what
you belief in. your beliefs has been influenced by people close to you from
birth until adulthood. You might be thinking that your thoughts are entirely
yours but, let me ask you something, when was the last time you questioned any
of the ideas you been fed by people close to you? Are all those things you hold
for truth really true? Many of you have grown up hearing that most rich people
are dodgy. Another idea is that you cannot achieve anything in life if you are
not born into a rich family. In order to make money, you need to have money
some believe.
All these ideas and many more have become truth to many
people who never questioned them but, just accepted as the undisputable truth
and took the responsibility to pass it on to anyone who would listen. Most of
us have been conditioned to believe in a certain way by our upbringing and the
environment, if an idea doesn’t fit in our way of thinking or our beliefs; we
promptly exclude it as preposterous. You will always find the way to justify
your beliefs while ignoring any evidence to the contrary.
A lot of people believe that free is equal to useless and, if
you give a stranger something of value free when they don’t need it, they will
quickly dispose of it not knowing that it could have helped them at a later
date. They usually think along these lines: if it is really that valuable, why
are you giving it away for free? People are been conditioned to believe that
expensive means valuable or high value, the same people believe that cheap is
equal to worthless.
Those who have these limiting beliefs will always struggle in
life because you cannot go against your beliefs. You will never take any action
contrary to your beliefs; it is as if you are fighting against yourself. The
next question I would like to ask you is: do you think it is possible to
decondition yourself once you have discovered your limiting beliefs?
