THE POWER OF BELIEF

You will be able to achieve your dreams and goals in life if you believe in your ability to make them happen. The importance of belief in your plan cannot be overstated; only you can make things happen in your life the way you desire. There is clear difference between wanting and desiring something, the desire has intensity and that is what you need to drive you through difficult times. You will have to overcome challenges in the pursuit of your dreams and, those challenges will grow in numbers as you get nearer to you goals. They will also become more difficult and, if you don’t have a clear picture of the end result in mind backed up with the unwavering belief in your ability to achieve it, you will easily give up.

Belief has make  people paralysed and crippled stand up from their wheelchair and walk for the first time in years, belief has made people achieve what others thought was impossible, belief has make people defy death and succeed where no one has succeeded before them. It was thought for a very long time that it was impossible to climb to the top of Mount Everest but through perseverance and belief Edmund Hillary and Nepalese Tenzing Norgay showed the world that it was possible in May 1953 after several failures.

A man was told by doctor after his accident that he will never be able to walk but, he refused to accept that verdict and made his mind that he will walk again. After months of rehabilitation, the only thing on his mind was to walk his children to school and walk down the street holding hands with his wife. He kept going even when his physiotherapist was running out of steam; he did not allow even the slightest of doubt to cross his mind and did not consider a plan B. In the second year of his accident, his decided to walk by his next birthday in six months. It was difficult to see how he could do it for people around him who loved him but, did not know how to help him. He kept his promise and walk on his next birthday through the power of belief, because he never had any doubt about his desire and ability to achieve his goal. His belief became a reality to him as yours can become your reality if you believe in yourself.
