YOUR ARE THE MASTER OF YOUR THOUGHTS Part1

Every thought you have results in a feeling, so the way to control your feelings is to control your thoughts. You have the power to control your mind and only allow the thoughts you want in your mind. To illustrate that point try this. Sit in a quiet place and think of a time when you did something that did not make you feel good. Notice the feeling that will come up. Pause for few minutes, breathe several times and think about different circumstances where you did something that made you feel good, notice the feeling coming up.

In the example above, you used your power of imagination to control your thoughts by recalling circumstances that happened sometimes ago. In order to gain control of your thoughts, you will have to practice disciplining your mind on the daily basis. Every time your mind is swamped by thoughts you are refusing to entertain, focus on something that remind you of a pleasant experience and keep thinking about it until the negative thoughts disappear into the distance. Get into the habit of practicing being happy by never dwelling on the negatives in your life and always focus on learning from your setbacks and moving quickly to more joyful circumstances in order to fill your mind only with the thoughts you desire.
