BLESS YOUR ENEMIES

Bless your enemies and take away their power to harm you. It is said somewhere in the Bible that you should love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you but, I am sure a lot of people do not agree with this command let alone practice it. You will be surprised to hear that there are more advantages in loving those who hate you than hating them back.

There are a variety of reasons why someone might want to hate you and, you could potentially have many people who hate you. What most people don’t realise is that those who hate you don’t know what they are doing and before reacting to their behaviour, you need to ask yourself this question: How can I be angry at someone who is not fully conscious of what he is doing? Your enemies are not conscious of their actions and therefore how can you appropriately react to their behaviour? They may be thinking that they know what they are doing but, the truth is that their thought process has been taken hostage by their emotions denying control over their mind.

How can you explain that some people can keep hating someone for months and even years when the person being hated has already forgotten about the incident? The first advantage of blessing your enemies is that it nullifies their ability to hurt or harm you. Those who hate you generally would like to see you suffer; they are prepared to do what is necessary to achieve that goal. In order for them to achieve their desired result, you have to be on the same wavelength as them. When you engage in the process of loving those who hate you move to a higher level of consciousness and, because love is much more powerful, you are easily able to counter whatever curse they will throw in your direction. 

The second advantage of blessing your enemies is that by showing love your making them see another way. By refusing to engage in the fight and denying them the possibility of someone to fight with you are leaving them powerless and unable to focus on you as their source of hatred. This is especially true in cases where your enemy is someone you cross path in a regular basis. After a fall out a man began hating his next door neighbour and whenever their path crossed, he will curse him and called in name but the neighbour has made up his mind not to fight and instead show love. Every time the man cursed him the neighbour will counter with joyous greetings until one day, the neighbour heard a knock on his door and it was the man coming to apologise for his behaviour. The neighbour promptly accepted and they became the best of friends. Blessing your enemies will definitely bring blessing into your life and sometimes turn some of your fiercest enemies into lifelong friends. By making yourself a magnet for love, you will by the same token make yourself invulnerable to attacks from your known and unknown enemies.
