HOW INTENSE IS YOUR DESIRE TO SUCCEED?

How bad do you want to succeed? What are you prepared to give up in order to succeed? Every single day you hear people claiming that they want to succeed, but if that success requires them to get out of their comfort zone, they quickly give up on the idea because it is scary. People are really comfortable with their routine and, every time something threatens that nice set up, they are ready to fight to keep things the way they are. You have to understand that change is part of success; you cannot get something different from what you are getting if you keep doing what you have been doing. It doesn’t matter what anyone tells you, succeed is not and will never be an overnight thing. According to Napoleon Hill success is the progressive realisation of a worthy goal.

Given this definition, you should be able to see that there is nothing quick or instantaneous about success, because it demands sustained work, commitment and sacrifice to make it happen. In order to make success out of your life, you have to be prepared to the ultimate sacrifice. Are you prepared to sacrifice the things that are important to you like your sleep, watching TV or hanging out with your friends? If you really want to succeed, you should not let anything stand in your way, you have to be ready to make the necessary sacrifice. If you don’t make success your priority, you will not be able to achieve it. What is the reason you want to achieve that particular goal? How important is achieving that goal to your life? The clear answers to these questions will tell if your quest for success will last beyond the first hurdles.

When people look at those who have succeeded, they are quick to claim that they are lucky. Those who have achieved in their life are far from lucky or necessary born with a silver spoon, research has shown that more than 70 per cent of wealthy people are self-made. Successful people are not different from you; they are not special or endowed with magic power from birth. The only thing that separates poor people from wealthy ones is their state of mind. In order to succeed, you have to learn to think and act like a rich and successful person. Many people have been fooled into thinking that you can make yourself look stupid in a TV show and become a success; they think that success can be achieved overnight hence the popularity of TV shows like X factor and the likes.

It is a fact of life that most people will never achieve success in their life time not because they are unable to do so, but for the simple reason that the majority of people think the price to pay is too high. Even those who give on their dream wants to achieve it and, it is why they are always envious of the wealthy because they remind them of their own inability to succeed. Successful people are often despised by the less affluent, because their mere sight reminds those who have failed what they are missing. If your success is really important to you, you will find the way to make yourself unstoppable. When you have a clear goal, a well-defined reason for going after that goal combined with a constant stream of motivation, nothing in the world will stop you from succeeding. No obstacle will be too big, no criticism will be too harsh and no disappointment will be too painful. When you are mentally prepared to succeed, when you are ready to deal with every setback, you become unstoppable.
